Our overgrown grass tufts are 6mm irregular tufts — the wild-shaped counterpart to our circular Static Grass Tufts. Where a round tuft reads as a deliberate clump, an overgrown tuft has an uneven, sprawling outline like grass that has spread on its own.

Every tuft in the pack has a unique irregular shape, which is the point. Round tufts placed repeatedly across a squad start to look stamped, because the eye picks up the repetition. Irregular tufts don’t repeat, so a unit based with them reads as varied even when every model uses the same color. They also blend more naturally into existing base elements — the uneven edge overlaps rocks, rubble, and texture paste instead of sitting as a distinct circle on top.

Best suited to untended ground: wilderness, overgrown ruins, neglected farmland, jungle edges. Made from the same hand-blended colors as our loose static grass, self-adhesive and ready to place with tweezers, with a dab of glue for permanence or pressed into wet texture paste. For scenes that need broken ground as well as growth, pair them with our debris tufts and 4-in-1 scatter flock. The range also includes Otherworld Alien Tufts in unnatural colorways, for sci-fi and fantasy scenes where earth-toned growth would look out of place.
