Our Volcanic Crackle Paste allows for a quick and easy one-step method for achieving a crackle effect on your miniature bases. Each resalable jar contains 2oz of effect texture paste for your terrain features.

With volcanic Crackle Paste, obtain a crackle for volcano and lava effects
Each of our textural, crackle pastes uses a unique recipe in order to best recreate specific aspects of our natural environments. Use on your miniature base or terrain feature directly from the container. For best results, apply our texture paste in an even 1-3mm layer using a small palette knife and allow to air dry. Crackle will begin forming in up to 12 hours. Allow up to 3 days for full crackle depth to form. Keep the lid sealed tight when not in use.

I bought this to do a lava basing for my warhammer miniatures and wanted an alternative to citadels crackle basing as i find it a little too fragile. Id been wanting to try huge miniatures products and decided to give this one a shot. It didn’t disappoint. The crackle isnt as strong as citadels, but i personally feel it looks more realistic and its also super tough. I can scratch this with my nail and it holds up no issue where other crackles ive tried would break. Overall its perfect for what i wanted and Im pretty down to try their other products later when i need something.

Just put some orange and red paint on my mini base and throw this over it and it creates a great magma cracking effect definitely recommend as a simple way to make a really cool effect.
